The Mayor's Office of Small and Minority Business Advocacy & Development invites the Baltimore community to the 2nd Annual Black Business Advancement Awards, a black-tie celebration honoring the achievements, innovation, and impact of Baltimore's Black-owned businesses during National Black Business Month. The evening includes a reception hour, plated dinner, keynote speaker, networking, special guests, and a live performance.

Men's Health in Our Community brings health education, screening information, preventive services, and trusted community resources directly to Baltimore residents in a welcoming environment. Hosted in partnership with Zion Baptist Church and the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center Community Outreach and Engagement Program, the event is designed to help community members learn, ask questions, access support, and connect with organizations that can support their health beyond the event.

Neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) affect some of the world’s poorest communities, raising urgent questions about justice, equity, and global responsibility. This session will explore how ethical principles can guide research funding, treatment access, and protections for vulnerable populations with limited political influence.

Addressing NTDs requires more than medical solutions; it means confronting the social and systemic inequalities that allow these diseases to persist. Through social justice, health equity, and global solidarity, we can help ensure no community is left behind.
