Ulysses Archie, Jr. is co-founder of Baltimore Gift Economy with his wife, Chrysalinn. He has worked with people with disabilities for more than 25 years in both the fields of education and direct care. A permaculture-based urban farmer and father of six boys, Archie is also a dyslexia and learning disabilities advocate, and served on the council that created the One Year Plus model featured prominently in the Baltimore City School IEP process.
Archie supports healing in a whole family approach, and has served with the Maryland Parent Leadership Team, an outgrowth of the Family Tree of Baltimore. He currently is focused on educating communities in the area of trauma-informed response, and is a certified ACE Interface master trainer for the State of Maryland.
