7th Annual Birth Parent National Network Virtual Convening

The Children's Trust Fund Alliance is hosting the 7th Annual Birth Parent National Network (BPNN) Virtual Convening on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM Pacific Time/ 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM Mountain Time/ 12:00 - 2:30 PM Central Time/ 1:00 - 3:30 PM Eastern Time. The convening will focus on STRUCTURAL RACISM AND CURRENT DAY IMPLICATIONS: How We Got Here and a Better Path Forward.

Please join the Children’s Trust Fund Alliance for this annual convening to learn about the core concepts related to race/ethnic equity and inclusion issues. The convening will be led by the W. Haywood Burns Institute (BI) which is a black-led national nonprofit that is working to transform the notion of what justice means. BI employs strategies and tactics to establish a community-centered approach of justice administration that is anchored in structural well-being. You will hear about the historical perspective regarding the impact of structural racism on the development of human services work and also have the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of what we need to consider to eliminate racial and ethnic disparities within systems.
